Iran’s Health Ministry says the Coronavirus has claimed four more lives in the country.
The official says the confirmed cases now stand at 64. Iraj Harirchi also strongly rejected a lawmaker’s claim that 50 people have died of the disease in Qom. He said the situation is now stable in the city, which is the main epicenter of the disease in Iran. The first cases of the Covid-19 emerged in Qom on Wednesday. The coronavirus has now affected several other cities including the capital, Tehran. Health Minister Saeed Namaki has blamed the outbreak on the people who entered Iran from Pakistan, Afghanistan and China, some of them illegally. Iran has set up a committee to help speed up efforts to contain the disease. Authorities have urged people to avoid crowded places and unnecessary trips.
