A prominent rights group has raised the alarm about hampering the delivery of humanitarian aid to war-torn Yemen.

Human Rights Watch said the obstruction of aid to Yemen will have deadly consequences. It added that obstacles to aid delivery in areas controlled by the former Yemeni government are on the rise amid the coronavirus pandemic. Tens of thousands of people, mostly civilians, have been killed as a result of the Saudi war on Yemen which began in 2015. The Kingdom has also imposed a blockade preventing the country from importing essential goods. The United Nations has described the conflict in Yemen as the world's worst humanitarian crisis.
