The leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution says the presence of the United States in West Asia is detrimental to the regional nations.

In a message marking the annual Hajj pilgrimage, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei added the US presence also leads to insecurity, devastation and underdevelopment of countries. The Leader said Iran supports people who have staged anti-racism protests in the United States, and condemns the atrocious behavior of the racist US government. Ayatollah Khamenei urged the heads of certain Muslim states to rely on their Muslim brothers rather than joining the ranks of the enemy for temporary personal gains. The Leader further described the Hajj congregation as a show of power against hegemonic entities which are the hotbed of corruption, tyranny and oppression. He urged Islamic nations to maintain their unity against enemies and threats.
