Fears are mounting about a second wave of the coronavirus outbreak in Europe, despite a decline in positive cases in several countries in the continent.

French health authorities say although the number of daily infections has diminished, the virus is still being circulated at a high rate. The British prime minister also expressed concerns about a resurgence of infections in his country. Boris Johnson defended the government’s decision to impose 14-day quarantine restrictions on travelers from Spain. Germany has also issued a travel warning for three regions in Spain. German authorities say the number of daily infections that stood around 500 for weeks has hiked to around 800 in the past week.
