"Europe accountable if arms embargo extended"

Iran has warned of the consequences of extending a UN arms embargo that is currently set to end in October.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said the US and its European allies that seek to extend those sanctions against Iran should be accountable for any repercussion. Mousavi added, such a move is in violation of a UN Security Council resolution that endorsed the 2015 Iran nuclear deal. He noted that the approach adopted by Britain, France and Germany in supporting America’s push for renewing the embargo is not constructive. The spokesman said Iran will give an appropriate response if the embargo remains in place.
